MINCING FURY AND GUTTURAL CLAMOUR OF QUEER DECAY - No Jokes With Devils
2003 - Bizarre Leprous productions
I don't have this CD that long, so I apologise myself for any opinions you don't agree with. MINCING FURY - for a majority of people that have a good knowledge about czech underground scene is this term as known as Orlík for nazist. I indicate them as "complete-fast-sick-grindcore". There's no need to analyze each of the songs, because the whole CD could be one 18-minutes lasting composition and no one would ever recognize a thing. Someone could say they're monotonous, but I must answer: "Fuck off, you fucking faget!", this music is about IT, the faster the better, the more non-melodic the more brutal.
Topi and Reef screams, growls and howls and it's perfect. We can left behind lyrics like "Kač, kač, kačena...". The speed is what matters here and that is maxed up. Drums can evoke a beautiful rain fall somewhere in Amazonia, guitars are like thunder bolts that make the thick atmosphere and Topi + Reef leads it all.
Occasional trip in shape of folk and brass music gives you a little rest, but only for a few seconds. Beat is changing every five seconds, and if not, your repro burned down. Quite interesting is, many times before covered, "No Jokes With Devils", that somehow lost its originallity and there's not much left of the fairy tale theme, but it's good.
I'm personally very courious about their show at Metal Swamp 11. On the sound side one could not make it to catch any mistakes. So it doesn't matter if the vocals are choked or guitars drowned in the rest of the sound.
But I have, and not only me, some reminders about the booklet. That fucked up cover with horses on the beach is acceptable, but the photo? More "smoked" face is really hard to find. Concerning the inside, made by Freddy (SEARCH MYSTERY), that told me: "The names were visable, but they fucked it up in printing house." So, I don't know.
In the end, I want to warn that everyone will not love this band after first listening, even after the second, and someone will never like it. But for a die hard grinders it's almost a must.
