Agonia Records signs ENTHRONED

ENTHRONED has two full-length releases on the horizon after signing a deal with Agonia Records. The black metal combo recently finished recording their follow-up album to Pentagrammaton(out on Regain Records in 2010). It is expected for an early 2012 release and entitled Obsidium.

ABSTRACT - Official announcement!!!

We started the preparation and pre-production of our new record called "Q". We have already half of the new compilations that should appear on the new album. In the meantime I can reveal the names of some songs that will be on the album - OPENIAM, THE STONE, FLUORESCENT TUBE, FLUORESCENT TUBE part2 or GHOST I´M. Some of them we already played live on our latest Czech tour.

However the concerts are not our priority at the moment! Most important is now our new album and all the work around it. After 15 years on the underground scene it was necessary to revaluate and reorganize internal affairs of the band. In the past we have made some mistakes we would like to avoid and move the band forward in a new direction. So we are quite busy, but we see it as a challenge!

Hard Rocker "Voodoo Highway" annouce new drummer "Vincenzo Zairo"

Italian premier classic hard rocker's "Voodoo Highway" welcome a new band member on the drums "Vincenzo Zairo".

About Vincenzo Zairo: Vincenzo Zairo was born in the deep south of the Italian peninsula and after having spent a happy childhood he moved with his family in the wetlands east of Emilia Romagna. In his teenage years he grows his passion for drums and rock'n' roll in all it's different forms, being inspired from bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Scorpions and many other bands also from the eightes such as Pantera. With such different inspirations he's able to create a mix of technical, expressive and really personal style. He starts his career in a cover band (The Random) when he was 16 years old, playing songs of bands like Queen, Toto, Deep Purple, Kansas etc. Vincenzo takes several lessons and drums master with prominent artists in the Italian music scene as Stefano Peretto and Iarin Munari. The bands in which he's played are: "The Random" (cover band), Twilight Hall (heavy/power metal band), Didgeridoo (The Funky), Fuckheroes (cover band). He currently plays in Altair (power/prog metal band) and has just joined, thanks to the proposal of his friends Matteo Bizzarri and Filippo "Gonzo" Cavallini, the hard rock relation act from Italy, Voodoo Highway.

DEADEND IN VENICE news

German melodic death metallers DEADEND IN VENICE have signed a long term management/promotion deal with Rock N Growl Promotion. The new album "See You On The Ground" is produced by Andy Schmidt (Disillusion).

Bio:
Formed in late 2008, Deadend in Venice tried right from the beginning to combine the power of true Melodic Death Metal with the beauty of a clear female voice. A short three song demo was recorded at the end of the same year and first local club-gigs followed. In 2009 the band shared the stage with names like Tristania, Finntroll and Tanzwut on some bigger shows and played great concerts for both, crowd and band. During the year 2010 the band decided to get all the stuff together for a full-length album and through CASKET Music and PLASTICHEAD the chance was given for worldwide distribution. The productions started in November and 2011 will be the year for: See you on the ground!

The lyric deals with everything from depictions of erotic oppression, slavery and ways to dominate fellow man. The main theme is on the bleak and destructive and living on the edge between life and death.

SKIRMISH signed to Violent Journey records

Skirmish, the bulldozer of heavy metal, was founded 2005 in Kajaani, Finland. Their upcoming debut album, "Through the Abacinated Eyes" will be released by legendary Violent Journey Records.

The album has been recorded, mixed and mastered in D-Studio, Finland by Jarno Hänninen. Based on past releases, people have tried to chain Skirmish inside genre limits, such as death or thrash metal, but the bands driving force has been to stay outside of categories and to rather make good music in a tight leaning position.

IBERIA - NEW ALBUM OUT AND NEW VIDEO FOR THE SINGLE 'ANGEL' RECORDED

Legendary Portuguese Hard-Rockers IBÉRIA, have recently recorded somewhere in the city of Montijo (Portugal), the promotional video for the addictive and explosive song ‘Angel’. The song is the 1st single coming off the bands third album “REVOLUTION”, and the new video is scheduled for release during June.

JOÃO SÉRGIO, IBÉRIA’s bass player states about the video: “We’re deeply pleased with the footage because it has perfectly captured all the essence and atmosphere of the Hard-Rock that is present within the band’s music universe. It shows and portraits a lot of energy and dynamism”.

The album “REVOLUTION” features 14 songs and alongside ‘Angel’ are also the songs ‘She Devil’, ‘Stooge’ and ‘Tired (Leave Me Alone)’ with a very special guest appearance of FERNANDO RIBEIRO (MOONSPELL), and still a ‘remake’ of the song ‘Hollywood’, one of IBÉRIA’s most successful hits from the 80’s. This new version features a guest appearance from another MOONSPELL musician, RICARDO AMORIM on the guitars.

“REVOLUTION” is a dignified follow up to the albums ‘IBÉRIA’ (1988) and ‘HEROES OF THE WASTELAND’(1990); It was recorded and mixed during 2010 in Lisboa, Portugal at TOP STUDIOS (from Ricardo Landum, former IBÉRIA guitarist), with production handled by TÓ CARVALHO and co-production of the band itself. The album was released on February 2011 viaESPACIAL MÚSICA.
