Gorgoroth DVD - preview available on YouTube!

RS_NOVINKY_ZVETSIT - 080528-e4wo.jpgAs previously announced Metal Mind Productions will release first ever Gorgoroth's DVD. “Black Mass Krakow 2004” DVD with their spectacular show recorded in Krakow, Poland will finally see the light of day on 9th June in Europe and 10th June in US (via MVD). Gorgoroth, Norwegian black metal band, drew the attention of the international media in early 2004 after their show in Krakow. They were accused of "offending religious feelings" during the gig, as well as suspected of breaching Polish law concerning the protection of animal rights by using severed and impaled heads of sheep as part of their stage design. The controversial concert in Poland resulted in the group being investigated for the possible breach of Article 196 of Polish penal code concerning offense of religious feelings (the maximum penalty for breaching this article is five years in prison). In one of the band's first interviews after this controversial concert, Infernus said to Unrestrained! Magazine (Canada): "We didn't plan to really have an outcome like that, our only intent was to go there and film the DVD (...) All the chaos and media reaction that came from this was a surprise of sorts." Asked if they "were (...) worried when the authorities were called" Infernus answered: "Not worried, really. I mean, what was the worst thing they could do? Destroy the tapes? I don't think they would do that and I don't think they could really do any harm to us, though they might be able to put the Polish producer away in prison for a few years. For us, this will probably help us sell a few more records.(…) As of now, I can only think that the DVD will be put out eventually. (…) It would be almost like they are stuck in the Middle Ages in Poland if they destroyed the tapes by burning them. I hope to get them back one day… I hope." Krakow’s show is the main feature of the “Black Mass Krakow 2004” DVD. Additionally, it includes bonus video material - Live at With Full Force Festival, Leipzig, 2000 (tracks: 1. Destroyer, 2. Incipit Satan), biography, discography, photo gallery, desktop images, weblinks, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and more!!!! DVD will be available in two versions: as a standard DVD and as a very unique star metalpack DVD edition limited to 5000 copies! You can see an exclusive preview – track “Procreating Satan” – on MMP’s official site on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=MetalMindPoland

Brutality - remastered albums out in May!

RS_NOVINKY_ZVETSIT - 080430-mzv9.jpgFor some bands it’s the place of origin that determines their music, and Brutality is certainly among them. The group hails from Tampa, Florida – the capitol of American death metal. Unfortunately, being overshadowed by death giants like Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Decide, Brutality never managed to get the proper acclaim for their work. Metal Mind Productions presents the exclusive re-releases of Brutality’s three full-length albums bring back a true legend of technical death metal, unjustly omitted by the masses… “Screams of Anguish” was released in the summer of 1993, instantly blowing metal fans away. The full-length debut brought ten electrifying compositions showcasing technical death metal at its finest. The band’s motto was to create ‘Music To Mangle Your Mind’ and this is clearly visible on “Screams of Anguish”. Complicated yet melodic guitar riffs, intense drumming with a jazzy feel to it and deep death metal growling made up for one of the most impressive death metal releases of the 90’s. Songs such as “Cries of the Forsaken” and “These Walls Shall Be Your Grave” are perfect examples of prime death metal ferocity, while the acoustic guitar piece “Sympathy” stands out as a very interesting interlude. Jim Coker’s drumming is definitely the album’s highlight - as he ranges from all kinds of inspirations, the listener witnesses a truly magnificent performance. Produced by Jim Morris, Brutality’s debut album was an excellent way to start a career on the scene. The group’s second album, “When The Sky Turns Black”, was recorded in the end of 1994 and released in 1995. The follow-up brought another dose of perfectly balanced technical death metal, this time aiming at a truly apocalyptic atmosphere. All ten compositions joined together in perfect harmony, creating a soundtrack to an end of the world. Filled with various acoustic interludes, the albums depicts a vision of total mayhem, with the help of epic guitar riffs and melancholic solos. Again produced by Jim Morris, “When The Sky Turns Black” stands out as one of Brutality’s most unique offerings. This LP features also a stunning cover version of Black Sabbath’s classic – “Electric Funeral” – by many fans considered superior to the original! “In Mourning” released in 1996 continued the apocalyptic tradition, bringing yet another handful of destructive anthems. Coker’s drumming became even more vicious on this release and was paired with some intense guitar solos, which gave the LP a very classic feel. “In Mourning” delivers the same amount of disturbing atmosphere as the previous offering, this time, however, building it solely on guitar sounds. The album went on as Brutality’s most mature release. Classic material taken from the Nuclear Blast archives will be released on 19th May 2008 in Europe /8th July 2008 in USA (via MVD). All three titles include a bonus track! New digipak edition, limited to numerated 2000 copies, digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.

Hypocrisy's Penetralia to be re-released in May

RS_NOVINKY_ZVETSIT - 080422-hjgk.jpgIs there a point in introducing Hypocrisy? This modern metal phenomenon lead by musical mastermind and “Godfather of Gothenburg” - Peter Tägtgren is well-known to all death metal maniacs worldwide, gaining huge acclaim and respect with each of its releases. “Penetralia”, Hypocrisy’s stunning debut album, takes us back to the band’s beginnings, when Tägtgren was still fascinated with old-school American death metal… The album was originally released on October 5th, 1992 and immediately gained a handful of positive comments from both fans and critics. The album was recorded with Jonas Õstenberg (guitar), Lars Szöke (drums), Mikael Hedlund (bass) and Masse Bromberg (vocals), while Tägtgren himself took up the lead guitarist duties. This collaboration brought the most brutal and straightforward LP in the band’s entire career. Dazzling guitar work, intense bass performance (hard to believe that when the album was released, Hedlund was only 16 years old!), crushingly heavy drumming and Bromberg’s brutal vocals made up for a truly apocalyptic death metal experience. Metal Mind Productions will re-release this fantastic album on 12th May 2008 in Europe and 8th July 2008 in USA (via MVD). New digipak edition, limited to numerated 2000 copies includes 2 bonus tracks! Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.

New digipak edition of two Slaughter's albums

RS_NOVINKY_ZVETSIT - 080422-vmzf.jpgOnce upon a time in America there was a glam rock band named Slaughter… and many people thought that this wasn't the most appropriate name for such music. Three guys from Toronto, Canada had exactly the same opinion and in August of 1984 decided to form their own band and also call it Slaughter – this time, for all the right reasons. Terry Sadler (vocals & bass guitar), Dave Hewson (vocals & chainsaw guitars) and Ron Sumners (drums) delivered an extremely brutal combination of death and trash metal, spiced with some punk and hardcore influences. To make it simple - this Slaughter meant mean business… Metal Mind Productions presents new digipak edition of two Slaughter's album: "Strappado" - the debut album from 1986 featuring an extremely brutal combination of death and trash metal, spiced with some punk and hardcore influences and "Not Dead Yet/Paranormal" - the compilation album from 2001. New digipak edition is limited to 2000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc. Both titles will be available on 5th May 2008 in Europe and 8th July 2008 in USA (via MVD).
